El Hotel Best Western Plus Panamá Zen se encuentra muy bien ubicado en el área del Cangrejo. Está cerca de la estación del metro de Vía Argentina, muy conveniente para poder llegar sin preocuparse por manejar o por los típicos embotellamientos de la ciudad. Este hotel tiene varias áreas de esparcimiento, pero vamos a comentar acerca de una que nos encantó: el bar y la piscina ubicados en el 15avo piso.
Básicamente el área se divide en tres ambientes. El que primero llama la atención es un acogedor bar protegido por amplios ventanales, desde los cuales se puede ver gran parte de la cuidad de noche. En este bar se puede escapar del calor y saborear buenos tragos y cervezas nacionales e importadas. La música es amena, pero a un volumen tolerable para mantener una conversación entre amigos sin tener que levantar la voz. El servicio es bastante bueno, el personal conoce del arte de mezclar licores y además es servicial.

Saliendo por una puerta de vidrio, nos encontramos con una piscina pequeña pero muy bien ubicada. El agua refresca hasta los más implacables calores del país, y la brisa que corre amenaza con llevarse cualquier sombrero mal puesto. Hay numerosas sillas y sofás para sentarse a disfrutar del sol y leer un libro. El mismo personal del bar atiende el área de la piscina, y se aseguran de que el flujo de bebidas se mantenga constante.

Finalmente podemos subir por las escaleras y llegar a un amplio lounge. El ambiente es de estilo moderno, y combina perfecto con música tipo bossa nova o electrónica. Detalles de iluminación acentúan el estilo, y se mezclan con la silueta de la ciudad al caer la noche.

Best Western Plus Panamá Zen hotel is well located in the area called "El Cangrejo". It is close to the "Vía Argentina" subway station, a very convenient feature if you do not want to drive and worry about the typical traffic jams of panama. This hotel has several social areas, but we are going to talk about the Roof Top Bar and pool on the 15th floor.
The bar area is divided in three different sections. The first one to get your attention is the main bar, which is protected by big windows, and from there you can get a good view of the city skyline. In this bar you can escape of the heat and humid air, and enjoy drinks and local and imported beers. The music is nice, with a volume just right to carry on a conversation without any trouble. The service from the staff is very good, and they know the art of mixing drinks.
After getting out through a glass door, we find a small but well placed pool. The fresh water will help you with the typical high temperatures of the country, and the light breeze sometimes threatens to take away any loose hats. There are several chairs and sofas, where you can sit and enjoy the sun and a good book. The same staff of the bar takes care of the service at the pool, and they make sure that the drinks keep on flowing.
Finaly we go up through a set of stairs to an ample lounge. The mood of the place is modern, which combines perfectly with bossa nova or electronic music. The lights and details blend very well with the city skyline at nightfall.
